Topic
Given the paramount importance of ethics in enhancing workplace's efficiency, why do so many businesses fail to manage ethics properly?

Guidelines with suggested number of words and mark allocation
1. Executive summary
An overview of your assignment, findings and recommendations in your assignment. (Not more than 100 words)

2. Table of contents
Sections and subsections must be clearly shown.

3. Introduction (5%)
Provide a brief introduction to scope of your study and the
objectives you want to achieve. (Around 200 words)

4. Literature review (25%)
Provide a detailed analysis and report of the relevant theories, concepts and research.
(Around 1000 words)

5. Discussions and analysis (50%)
Provide a detailed discussion and analysis on the reasons why businesses fail to manage ethics in the workplace. Reasons include lack of communications between management and employees, lack of ethics training program, unfair treatment within workplace, discrimination, hostile work environment and so on. Collect valid data to form the basis of discussions and analysis and the meaningful findings may result. (Around 1500 words)

6. Conclusion and recommendations (20%)
A summary of the findings and a general assessment of the situation. (Around 300 words)

7. References
A listing of the sources of your information such as journals, literature and websites.

8. Appendices
Collection of supporting information not presented in the text.

• Test your ability to apply the appropriate theories, models and concepts of business ethics for solving the problems.
• Test your ability to provide feasible solutions and effective recommendations with
theories and practice.

• Make reference to at least 5 reliable literature sources to enhance your answer.
• Use the Harvard Referencing System correctly.
• Use the chosen literature to explain aspects of the problem and to support your
contentions and recommendations.
• Structure your report so that each task is addressed in turn. Use appropriate sub-headings
to make your work logical and easy to read.
• Remember that this is work at Masters Level. The marking criteria and grading have been attached for your reference.

concepts. Remember that you are asked to ‘analyse’.
